Who we are and what this policy covers

TutEasy is a product of Collatzinc Private Limited ("Collatzinc", "we", "us"), India.

• the website tuteasy.com, including the "Apply Now" form; and
• the TutEasy for Trainees mobile app for iOS and Android (the "App").

Data we collect on the website

Apply Now form. Your name, company name and work email address, which you enter yourself.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website. It sets analytics cookies and records browser and device type, pages visited, referring site and approximate location (city level). Google uses your IP address to estimate that location but does not store it. When you submit the Apply Now form, we also send the company name you entered to Google Analytics, so we can measure form submissions. We only look at this data in aggregate.

Spam protection. The homepage uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to check that the Apply Now form is sent by a person, not an automated program. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you interact with the page, such as your IP address, browser details and on-page activity, and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Data we collect in the App

• Registration and account details: your name, email address, phone number, postal address, institute or organisation, and your password (stored only in hashed form).
• Emergency contact: the name, phone number, email address and address of up to two people we can reach in an emergency, if you choose to give them. Please let them know you have shared their details with us.
• Training activity: courses you are enrolled in, lessons completed, assessment results and progress.
• Task submissions: images and files you choose to upload when submitting a task. These are stored with your training record and are visible to your institute.
• Notification token: a device token issued by Apple or Google so we can send you course notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
• Technical logs: server logs of requests to our API (date, time, IP address, app version) kept for security and troubleshooting.

Device permissions. The App asks for these permissions through your device's standard prompt. You can refuse or withdraw any of them in your device settings; the related feature will then not work.

• Location (optional): requested only when you use a feature that needs it. You can decline and keep using the rest of the App. Your location is used on your device and is not stored on our servers.
• Camera and microphone: requested only when you choose to take a photo or make a recording, for example to submit a task.
• Photos and files: requested only when you choose to attach an image or file to a task.

Only the images and files you actually submit are uploaded. The App does not use advertising identifiers, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not access your contacts.

How we use your data and our legal basis

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Institutes and trainees

Where an institute or employer enrols you in TutEasy, that organisation decides what training you receive and can see your progress. For that data, the institute is the data controller (in India, the data fiduciary) and Collatzinc processes it on the institute's behalf under our agreement with them. You may contact your institute or us; we will pass requests to the institute where required.

Who we share data with

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country. For transfers of EEA or UK personal data to countries without an adequacy decision, we and our providers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), or the provider's EU–US Data Privacy Framework certification.

Your rights

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• delete your data;
• restrict or object to processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
• nominate another person to exercise your rights (India).

Email contact@tuteasy.com. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority: in India, the Data Protection Board of India; in the EU/EEA, the authority in your country; in the UK, the ICO.

Cookies

The website itself does not set any cookies. Google sets cookies through two services we use: Google Analytics (cookies starting with _ga), to measure how the site is used, and Google reCAPTCHA, to protect the Apply Now form from spam. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google's opt-out browser add-on. If you block reCAPTCHA, the Apply Now form may not work.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, and access is limited to staff who need it. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

TutEasy is a professional training service. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top whenever this policy changes. We will tell App users of material changes in the App or by email before they take effect.
